| Do I sign the contract before checking it with a solicitor? |

The contract is binding for the buyer; therefore you are committed to paying the total amount if the contract is signed. If you fail to make any of the stage payments you would be in breach of contract and would lose your deposit. and what is even worse the other party could ask you to fullfill your obligations and claim for the full amount, therefore we highly recommend you not to sign a contract.
